Aerial Intelligence for Mines
A startup project to help propel the mining industry forward into the age of AI.
We designed and built a fully functional web app that allows for the processing of aerial imagery of mining operations. Using custom trained computer vision AI and the latest in modern photogrammetry techniques, we are able to provide detailed and data-driven reports in a matter of minutes - something that would take hours for an in-person survey team to complete.
This boost in understanding of the efficiency of drill and blast operations cannot be underestimated.
As co-founder, I helped build and launch this venture before returning to complete my MSc in Robotics.
On the technical side, I was responsible for the backend server architecture, machine learning model training and evaluation, and database management.
